Cheesecake Factory

Jonathan and I were so excited when we got a call from my cousin Shaun and his wife Jamie.  They mentioned that they were going to be up in Salt Lake, and they were thinking about going to Cheesecake factory, they kindly invited us to join them, and we eagerly accepted!!  I LOVE eating out, and I had never been to the Cheesecake factory.  It was so much fun to get together with them and enjoy the beautiful night and good food!!  I love hanging out with these two!  Jamie is wonderful and I love that I can bounce ideas off of her for design (check her out), and Shawn and Jonathan never run out of things in common!  Thanks guys for a wonderful night, and a very, very full tummy!!

Does anyone go see Movies any More?

A few months ago Jonathan and I were pretty sick for a few weeks and so we didnt do much besides work.  So one night at about 10:30  we decided we'd had enough and that we wanted to do something fun!  We went to the movie theatre and this is what we walked into (5 minutes late by the way)  There was NO ONE in there!  It was so nice to have the whole place to ourselves!!

A complete contrast to that was the Friday night showing of "The Dark Night". Personally I LOVED it!! It was very dark, but apparently I am not affected by that kind of stuff cause I slept GREAT that night! :)... (some people thought it was really disturbing, I guess I just didnt let it get to me). We went with Jonathan's brothers Phil, and Jared and his cousin Heidi even came!! After the movie we went to the local favorite, Leatherby's. It was so fun to get out with family and enjoy the night!

Jerry Seinfeld

Both Jonathan and I absolutely LOVE Jerry. I just think his material is so classic!! He makes everyday experiences hilarious! Plus he is one of the much cleaner comedians, so that helps! Jonathan saw him last time he came to town, but this was my first time seeing him live.

I tried to get some video clips, but only one of them worked, and even this one isn't that great.  But it is Jerry explaining how he gets ready to do is infamous "Hello Newman".  We had such a good time, we cant wait for him to come again!!
-ok sorry I can't upload it, but it is really funny...

Taylorsville Dayzz

This post is super late.. but better late than never.

I love our wonderful city of Taylorsville, there are so many things that set us apart from all other cities. One of them, and I think just about everyother Villan would agree, is our Annual Taylorsville Dayzz festivities; we have the best firework show in the state of Utah (thanks to Dunnigan always Getting it Done)!!! Not only do we have great entertainment before the show (this year we had Niel Diamond, ya... eat your heart out) but there is a great car show, a fun carnaval for the kids, and some classic fair foods. We also have the annual performance from the West Valley Orchastra (good job Momma Day!), which is always a treat!

We started the night off at my Parents for a BBQ - thanks mom it was delicious!

Then we all migrated down for the big show!!

Jonathan and his friends dancin to Neil Diamond

Like I said... best Firework show in the State!!!

Dinner for 8

Last weekend Jonathan and I meet up with his buddies to get together and catch some shrimp in our mouths.. Thats right folks, at the local Bonsai, a Japanese Steak House, they fling your food at you. Well not all of your food, but if you are lucky you might get a few extra pieces of shrimp flown your way!! The rest of the food is cooked right there in front of you. I love smelling the yummy foods being prepared right in front of me! Bonsai was a new restaurant for me, but I have to say I loved it so much, we will definitely be going back!! It was so much fun!! I would really recommend it!! :) The food was great, and our cook was HILARIOUS!! (mostly because he made really random comments, and it was funny because we could barely understand him). The menu is a bit pricey but you get a ton of food so sharing is a great option! Also if it is someone's bday they take a picture of you and they put it on their wall. So if you go to Bonsai look for our picture on the beam by the hostess. We claimed we had a birthday, but truthfully we didn't, but we couldn't go and not get our picture on the wall!! :) (dont ask about the easter egg, we couldn't figure out why it was on there)
After dinner we went to Boondocks with the (newly-engaged) cute couple Cory and Kristie (they are next to us in the picture)!! They are so much fun to be with, I love hanging out with them! We had a blast playing miniature golf!... Unfortunately I left my camera in the car so I didnt get any pics, and I was in heels... not a good idea to play golf in heels. But because it was last minute I didnt have any other option, so I toughed it out and we had a great time. They kept laughing at me because I had a "stance" when I was putting.  YOU TRY PLAYING GOLf IN 4" HEELS!!! Oh and we still won!! We now have a free dessert next time we get together! Can't wait!!! :)

Annual Marriage Retreat

Last year my parents started a great tradition. They decided that once a year all of the married couples in our family, along with my parents and my grandparents on each side, will get together to have discussions. Mostly the discussions are about marital topics, but every time it is a great experience. My parents are so giving! I can't believe how much they do for us! They allow us to get together to enjoy each others company and create memories. Last year Jonathan and I were not married yet, so we were not "allowed" to stay the night for obvious reasons! :) But this year we did get to spend the night and it was so great! Although I have to admit, it really could have fallen on a better night because Jonathan was SO SO SO SO sick!! I felt so bad for him! He had a terrible sinus infection (which I unfortunately gave to him, sorry babe!) So he missed out on most of the discussions and the games that night, but we still had a great time. Last year it took place at the Homestead in Midway. This year we went up to Snowbird and we stayed at " The Cliff" the view's at that place were unthinkable! The mountains jet up right behind the hotel! It was so gorgeous in the morning with the sun coming up behind them! Oh I loved it! Thanks Mom and Dad for all that you do! You guys are the best!
The room, Jonathan didnt get to leave this place much at all! :( View on the way out of the canyon

Last Weekend

Isn't Summer great?! I love being able to sit outside in the afternoon and feel the warm sun on my face! I can't wait till we get the boat out! I am itchin' for some serious boating! This weekend was fun! For our date night, Jonathan and I went and saw Fantastic 4 It was very entertaining, we really liked it. I was glad to see that they can still make movies entertaining without blood, guts, nudity, and many other unnecessary things!!

On Saturday Jonathan and I babysat my nephew Jace. He is SUCH A DOLL!! We just love this kid. He is one of the happiest kids you will ever meet! He is constantly laughing and smiling and jabbering! He is just a big ball of fun! Plus he has the CUTEST CHEEKS EVER!! Jonathan and I love to eat his cheeks! I took a few pictures of him while he was insisting on feeding himself his applesauce. It actually turned out pretty good, not too many splatters!

After babysitting I went to a shower for my friend Ashley Anderson who is getting married this month. It was so much fun to get all the girls together! It is crazy pretty much everyone either is pregnant or getting married! It was so much fun to hear updates on every ones lives!!! My friend Jessica Doman just recently moved back to Salt Lake so after the shower we went to see her new house! I am SO excited she moved back, I missed her TOO MUCh!! She has a beautiful home out in WVC where darling Jackson and Scott were waiting for her to get home. All in all, it was so fun to see all the girls. It was crazy to see where everyone is in life, it seems like it was forever ago that we were all chillin in the hall at Taylorsville High! It was fun to look back on the good memories while making new good memories! I love my girls! It was fun to see everyone!

Sunday was of course blissful. We love Sunday's! It is always peaceful and enjoyable! This Sunday we ate at Kate and Adam's home for Sunday Dinner. We love their new home! It is great that they have enough room to fit the whole family! I decided to start taking pictures to document our fun family time, but the family isn't used to it yet so most of them are of people not looking at the camera, oh well everyone will warm up soon!! Also I would like to say that we missed our beautiful Jen, she is still down and out with her wisdom teeth! Poor thing, we love you! Get better soon! Also our wonderful Phil was not able to make it this Sunday but he will be down here this week so we are excited to see him!

WELCOME

Guess What?... We have MOVED. Lucky for you, you can still find us here.
