Jelly arms, and Jelly Tummies

I love my Sundays! Aside from dealing with 6 over-active sunbeams, my day is often quite relaxing. This Sunday was especially relaxing due to the fantastic weather. What?... It was raining? Precisely my point! I LOVE the rain! It is so calming for me! Nothing better! Then after my relaxing afternoon I was able to enjoy the wonderful company of the always magnificent Day family. Having dinner that fills my tummy to its fullest, and great conversations with my lovely Expecting Sisters. Really could my day get any better! I was convinced it could not... then I was proven that not only would it not get better but that it would spiral downward with two simple words. Before I elaborate, let me tell you of the events that lead to this awful experience.
While eating dinner Jared, my brother in law, pointed out a hilarious scene. Ellie 6, and Alayna 5, were thoroughly examining Omas "Jelly Arms" (you may better know them as "Relief Society Arms"). They were swaying them and jiggling them to their little hears desires. Oma, being the great sport she is, laughed with them and took their silly comments about her "Jelly arms" in stride; even making a few cracks of her own. Jared and I were laughing so hard, it was great.
Then later as we all sat down to enjoy some beautiful music by Lindsay, Alayna decided she wanted my body to be her seat. On her way up she grabbed my arm and said look you have jelly arms too! Oh I just laughed it off and said oh no I don’t and she said Yes you dooo! So then I took her arms and made her arms jiggle, as much as you can make a 5 yr old jiggle, and said well then you have jelly arms too! She laughed and, I thought, had dropped the subject. As she continued her stride up my body to plant herself on me, I reveled in the joy of having such an adorable niece.
Then she did it... she said the one thing that could make my wonderful day turn upside down. In her cute little voice she giggles and says... "You have a jelly tummy too!” Then my mind goes into full throttle, and all I can hear is JJEEELLLYYYY TTUUUMMMMYYYY screaming in my head! And I think, Wait, what? WHAT? Jelly? No, no, no little girl. NO!.. Jelly TUMMY! Me??? You think I HAVE A JELLY TUMMY! Jelly!
Once I am done ranting and raving in my head I then quietly give Alayna a very serious look and whisper in her ear... Don’t you ever tell me that again, OK?!
Traumatic? I know. Silly? You may think so, but until you have that happen as well as having her 7yr old brother Austin, ask me if I was pregnant a few weeks earlier. I think you can spare me the judgment!!
On the up side, I have DECLARED TO START WORKING OUT AGAIN!! No more tomorrows, or in the morning. It started this morning and it will continue throughout this season and the next. I am determined to never have a child A- think I am pregnant, and B. that I have a "Jelly Tummy". I have got to stop the madness before one of my sunbeams asks me if I am having a boy or a girl!! IF you would like to join in on the WORKOUT TRAIN, let me know. It is always nice to have someone along for the ride as you try to reach goals. As for Alayna’s comment.... "Kids say the darndest things", buy you gotta love 'em

***Please note all sarcasm in this post. I actually thought it was pretty funny, though it did make me whip my butt into shape. Thanks Alayna! ***
